What is an Initial Handlers Course?
When you purchase a Protection Dog from Security-K9 we guarantee that the Dog will arrive fully Trained. However, this does not mean that you will have the slightest idea what to do with your new Dog, or how you are to work with him/her and what the process of adaptation should be. We provide reading material as well as videos for you to learn from, but it is still difficult to know exactly what to expect when the Dog arrives.
We have developed a system that allows one of our Instructors to accompany the Dog to your house and help you to understand the proper ways to handle the Dog as well as start you off on the right foot in the process of acclimation.
Security-K9's Initial Handlers Course Training program is designed to properly introduce your new family member/canine companion to you, your home, your family, lifestyle, etc. and to help you learn how to use the skills your canine partner has to achieve a comfortable, smooth , and successful transition.
This training program is designed individually based on YOUR current knowledge, and the Dog's individual Temperament, Training, Lifestyle, Upbringing and Purpose. This training program is conducted at your home, within the environment you and your Personal Protection Dog will be working and living in.

The Initial Handlers Course is priced at $1500.00*. How to set up the Initial Handlers Course - When you complete the Purchase Form you will have the option on the form to have the Initial Handlers Course.
*(fees cover training only, all travel expenses are the responsibility of Customer)
